Extra Information

This is one of the best ambisonic microphones available to purchase. It is low noise and high quality, whilst also being lightweight (only 220 grams, half that of the Sennheiser Ambeo). It is mounted within the Cinema Zephyx windshield, which is worth £900 itself! The whole rig weighs just 750g. It comes with a 3m Lemo cable to 4-way XLR loom. It is perfect for location recording (it doesn’t have a control unit unlike other Soundfield microphones). The sound can be decoded using Soundfield’s free SurroundZone2 software, or a variety of other free plug-ins. Recently serviced by Rode/Soundfield. Comes in a black zipped case (the tab on the zips is broken)

18/10/2023	Not often you get to use gear from sound design heroes. The chapter from the book; something like the blurry world of sound and music, is great and the Telinga has added another dimension to my sound palette which I probably shouldn't have been able to afford. Used intensively last week and despite the seller adding a laminated instruction guide I managed to crack the dish rim in a couple of places, Ho hum. I have tracked down Klas and Jon (the makers) who have some b-stock dishes so should be able to replace it eventually I will just have to not fold it. Sorry for burbling on but thanks seller you are a star.
