Sennheiser Evolution Wireless SK 500 radio microphone transmitter.
It still works well although the paint is peeling off and it has a few scratches.

Audio input: 3.5mm, e.g. lavalier microphone (not supplied).
The audio input has a threaded connector, so that a threaded cable can be locked (no likelihood of the microphone cable falling / pulling out).

With a belt clip.

This is a UHF frequency transmitter (UHF is less prone to interference than VHF).
Frequency is shown on LCD display
9V PP3 battery; operation time is listed at >8h for a new (quality) battery alkaline battery
With Mute switch
Legal UK frequencies are 863- 865Mhz: this transmitter supports frequencies in the range 838 – 870MHz, settable at 25kHz intervals, so this allows 120 frequencies to be set in the UK allowable range.
It has 16 switchable frequency memories (a name can be assigned to each).
Settable sensitivity for different microphone types.

With LED indicators:
- battery state
- audio over-drive.
