Selling an Item
To sell an item you need to submit your listing by clicking on the link Submit a Listing. By following the on screen instructions you will be led through the process.
Please be aware of the following.
You will need to provide a Title for the listing
An asking price. (This is important to give potential buyers encouragement)
A summary description of the item you are selling. (This should be worded to attract interest)
A full description such as condition, age, use, hours etc
An equipment category
You can then submit the listing and then upload images to accompany the listing. Images should be in jpeg format
Shortly after submitting your listing, you should receive notification that your listing is published. Subsequently, by logging in to your my.BB | Live Listings you will be able to amend the listing, or the price, or add or delete images, or cancel the listing at any time.
If you have been looking for a particular item and cannot find it, you can submit a Wanted listing. The process for submitting a Wanted listing also starts by clicking Submit a Listing
What Happens Next?
When an enquiry is received, an email will be sent to the seller.
The seller will need to log into his or her my.BB to reply to any questions, accept the offer, or agree to sell.
The seller is expected to find out the cost of shipping and insurance and to arrange shipping, unless the buyer wishes to arrange collection. Shipping costs are usually at the buyer's expense.
When the shipping cossts have been agreed, a Pro Forma invoice is sent to the buyer requesting the buyer to deposit funds with BB List.
When cleared funds have been received by BB List, the seller will be asked to despatch. The seller should always check the kit is working and as advertised before packing. Please read the shipping guide. It is also the seller's responsibility to ensure the items are adequately packed. Please read packing guide.
After despatch the seller must log on to my.BB to provide a tracking number, name of the shipping company and a url for the shipping company's web site where the shipment can be tracked.
The seller is then required to upload a copy of the sales invoice to the on-line transaction.
24 hours after delivery, provided all is well with the item, an invoice is sent to the seller for the commission due to BB List. The remaining funds, less any additional charges (such as bank fees), are then transferred to the seller's Escrow account. Here they are available for withdrawal or to purchase an item through BB List.
The seller must apply to Withdraw the funds being held in Escrow. Please be aware that if your bank account is not a British held Bank account you will be liable for all bank charges incurred in making any payment to you.
It is crucial that you read the step by step instructions both on screen and in emails, and complete the instructions as given. Problems only occur when they are not followed or understood.
